SAABA is an organization dedicated to the needs, concerns and interests of South Asian attorneys, including attorneys of Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, and Bangladeshi descent practicing in the Houston area, as well as attorneys serving South Asian clients.

SAABAs four cornerstones are:

Professionalism - promoting the advancement of lawyers and development of law students of South Asian heritage through continuing legal education seminars and speakers and mentoring programs.

Networking - developing business networking opportunities for our members with the South Asian community.

Community - educating the South Asian community on legal issues and assisting with legal services to the South Asian community, in particular to those who are less fortunate.

Social - organizing events for our members.

SAABA strives to advance the professional development of South Asian lawyers and law students, increase awareness of the South Asian community about relevant legal issues, expand and enhance business and professional opportunities for South Asians, facilitate the exchange of ideas and information among South Asians, and foster goodwill, fellowship, and unity among the South Asian community.

SAABA is an organizational member of the National South Asian Bar Association. Other organizational members include South Asian Bar Associations in Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Northern California, Southern California, and Seattle.
